Liftoff

Your company online, properly: live and found by Google, without learning any of it.

Everything a new company needs online, done for you

A fast website on your own domain, business email, Google set up to find you, and the legal pages every site needs. Set up properly by a technologist, for a fixed price.

For founders who'd rather spend the week on their business than on DNS records. You won't need to learn what those are.

From £1,950, live within 5 working days of your content.

What you get

What you'll have on launch day. Liftoff's fixed price covers the work; your domain and email are billed to you by their providers, at cost.1

  • A website that looks the part

Up to 5 pages, designed around your business and built to load fast on any phone.

  • Your own domain

yourcompany.com, registered in your name from day one and set up properly, so it's yours whatever happens.2

  • Business email

[email protected], with calendar and documents, on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.

  • Found by Google

Your site registered with Google Search Console, its map of pages submitted, and every page given a proper title and description.

  • Visitor numbers

Simple, privacy-friendly analytics: how many people visit and where from, with no cookie banner needed.

  • Polished when shared

Your icon in the browser tab and on phones, and a proper preview card when someone shares a link.

  • The legal basics

A privacy policy, terms and a cookie notice, written for a site like yours.

  • A technologist to ask

A handover call to walk you through it all, and a real person to ask when something comes up.

Why not WordPress or Squarespace?

They're good tools, and some founders are better off with them. Here's the honest difference.

  • Faster

Pages are built once and sent ready-made, with nothing assembled while your visitor waits.

  • Nothing to patch

No plugins to update, no admin page for attackers to try, no database to break into.

  • Almost nothing to host

A small site on Amazon Web Services usually costs less than a couple of pounds a month to run.

  • A real person behind it

Someone who knows how your site is put together, not a help centre or a forum.

The trade-off: no drag-and-drop editor

If you want to rearrange your own pages every week, WordPress, Squarespace or Webflow may suit you better. With Liftoff you send us a message, or change the words yourself:

  1. Change the words in a simple file on GitHub, a website that keeps every version.
  2. A private preview of the site is built for you to check.
  3. Happy with it? Approve it, and the live site updates within minutes.

Every earlier version is kept, so nothing is lost. If something you changed needs untangling, we fix it and charge for the time.

Pricing

One fixed price to set it up, then a monthly plan if you'd like us to look after it. No VAT is charged: Innovective isn't VAT-registered. Your domain and email are paid to their providers on top, at cost.1

What it costs to run, a year

On top of Liftoff and any plan, these are billed to you by the providers, at cost. For a company of one, about £75–£130 a year; each extra person adds an email licence.

  • Google Workspace Business Starter and Microsoft 365 Business Basic are the entry plans. Both give each person email, a calendar, video calls and storage to share files; we'll help you pick on the first call.
  • Hosting stays this cheap for an ordinary site. It's charged by how much your visitors download, so a site that plays a lot of its own video, or offers big files that many people download, costs more. If yours will, we'll say so up front and suggest a cheaper way, such as putting the video on YouTube or Vimeo.
  • Simple Analytics, Google Search Console, GitHub and the security certificates all have free plans that comfortably cover a site this size. They've stayed free for years, but that's the providers' decision, not a promise we can make.
  • Typical UK prices before VAT, checked October 2026. Providers add VAT at 20% unless your company is VAT-registered, and they change their prices from time to time.

How it works

From a first call to a live site within one to two weeks of your content arriving.

  1. 15 minutes

    Free call

Tell us about the business and what the site needs to do. We'll say plainly whether Liftoff fits.

  2. Your pace

    Your content

You send your words, pictures and logo, if you have one. On Liftoff Plus we help you shape the words page by page.

  3. 5–10 working days

    Build

We build the site on a private preview address and set up your domain, email and the rest. You see it as it takes shape.

  4. Launch day

    Live

The site moves to your domain, Google is told it's there, and we walk you through everything on a handover call.

  5. After launch

    Looked after, or handed over

Pick a monthly plan and we keep it running, or take the keys and run it yourself.

Growing up

Liftoff is a start, not a box. It's built from ordinary web technology, so it grows with the business and any developer can pick it up.

  • More pages, a blog

New pages and sections are quoted as you need them, and Liftoff Plus includes a simple blog or news section from the start.

  • Deeper analytics

If you want Google Analytics, we add it with the cookie consent it needs. A small, separate job.

  • A technologist on your side

When technology decisions start to matter, the Founder's tech friend plan gives you a few hours a month of fractional CTO time.

    About fractional CTO
  • Your own team

When you hire a CTO or a developer, they pick it up from the notes we've kept since day one. Want us to walk them through it? That's an optional, fixed £350.

Good to know

The small print, in plain words. The Liftoff Order Terms have the full version.

Running costs
Your domain, email licences and any paid tools aren't in Liftoff's price. They're billed to you by their providers, in your name and at cost, with no mark-up from us, so you see exactly what they cost: for a company of one, about £75–£130 a year, broken down under What it costs to run. Email licences are per person, per month. We never pay them on your behalf; on a monthly plan we watch the renewal dates and check your card is there to cover them. Until launch the site lives on a private preview address of ours.
You own it
The domain is registered in your name from day one. The content and the code are yours, and you take all of it with you if you leave. The domain is paid to the registrar at cost and renews every year: most .com and .co.uk names cost around £10–£20 a year, but a name someone already owns can cost hundreds or thousands to buy from them. We'll tell you the price before you commit to anything.
Paying
Half to start, half at launch. Monthly plans are billed a month in advance; a year up front is 10 months' price. No VAT is charged: Innovective isn't VAT-registered.
Timeline
Liftoff is live within 5 working days, and Liftoff Plus within 10, counted from when we have all your content.
Leaving a plan
Give 30 days' notice on a monthly plan. A plan paid a year ahead simply isn't renewed.
Handing over, if you want it
We write down how everything fits together from day one, and those notes are yours. You can simply take them and the account logins, at no charge, and run it yourself or give it to your new hire. If you'd rather we hand it over to your CTO or developer in person, that's £350: the accounts moved into their hands, a one-hour walkthrough, and their questions answered by email for 30 days.
Editing it yourself
You're welcome to. If something you changed needs fixing, we fix it and charge for the time.
A small change
New text, a swapped image, a changed link or contact detail, or a minor layout tweak. New pages, features and redesigns are quoted separately. Unused Care time doesn't roll over.
Quoted separately

Not in Liftoff's price. We'll quote for any of these, or point you to someone who does them well.

  • Logo and brand design
  • Writing your copy from scratch
  • Online shops and payments
  • Customer logins and accounts
  • Custom web applications
  • Advertising campaigns
  • Google Analytics

Liftoff FAQ

The questions founders ask before getting their company online. Get in touch if yours isn't here.

Yes, that's exactly who it's for. You don't need to know what any of the words mean. We ask about your business, you send us your words and pictures, and we deal with the rest. No question is too basic, and you won't be made to feel it is.

Yes, if you'd like to. Your words and pictures live in a few plain files on GitHub, a service that keeps every version of them. You change the text on GitHub's website, a private preview is built for you to check, and when you approve it the site updates within a few minutes. We show you how on the handover call. If you'd rather not, send us a message on the Care plan and we'll make the change.

Every earlier version is kept, so nothing is ever lost and the last working version can always be put back. Changes go to a private preview before they go live, which catches most mistakes. If you do need us to untangle something you changed yourself, we'll fix it and charge for the time it takes.

Yes, always. The domain is registered in your name from day one, and the content and the code are yours. If you ever leave, you take all of it with you.

They're good tools, and if you want to drag and drop your own pages every week they may suit you better. Liftoff sites are faster, have no plugins to keep patched and nothing for attackers to log in to, and cost almost nothing to host. The trade-off is that there's no drag-and-drop editor: you change things by sending us a message, or by editing the files yourself.

For a small site, usually less than a couple of pounds a month in Amazon Web Services charges. On the Keep-alive plan (£49 a month) we run it for you. Your domain name and any email accounts are paid to their providers directly, in your name, so you can see exactly what you pay for.

Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, whichever suits you. We'll talk through the difference on the first call if you're not sure. The licences are paid to Google or Microsoft directly, in your name.

That's the plan working. We keep written documentation of how it all fits together from day one, so you can hand them that and the account logins, at no charge, and they take it from there. If you'd like us to hand over in person, it's an optional, fixed £350: the accounts moved into their hands, a walkthrough call, and their questions answered for 30 days.

It's built from ordinary, widely used web technology, so any developer can pick it up and extend it. If the business needs a web application, accounts or payments, that's a separate project, and we can quote for it or help you choose who builds it.

Logo and brand design aren't part of Liftoff. If you already have one we'll use it, and if not the site can start with a clean type-based look and take a logo later. We can recommend designers if you need one.

Nobody can honestly promise that. We make sure Google can find and read every page, that each page has a proper title and description, and that your site is registered with Google Search Console, Google's free tool for site owners. Where you rank after that depends on your content and your market.

Liftoff is live within 5 working days of us having all your content, and Liftoff Plus within 10. While it's being built you can see it on a private preview address.

Updating text, swapping an image, changing a link or contact detail, or a minor layout tweak. New pages, new features and redesigns are quoted separately. On the Care plan that's up to about 1 hour a month, and Care time that isn't used doesn't roll over.
