Paying
Half is paid by card when you order (£975 for Liftoff, £1,625 for Liftoff Plus). The balance (£975 or £1,625) is due at launch. No VAT is charged: Innovective isn't VAT-registered.
Your domain, email licences and any paid tools are billed to you directly by their providers, at cost, and aren't part of this price. A domain renews every year; most .com and .co.uk names cost around £10–£20 a year, but a name someone already owns can cost hundreds or thousands to buy. We tell you the price before you commit. Email licences are charged per person, per month.
Typical yearly running costs, before VAT (checked October 2026; providers set and change their own prices):
- Your domain, renewed every year (Your domain registrar): £10–£20 a year.
- Email, calendar, video calls and file storage and sharing (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365): £65–£85 a year for each person.
- Hosting the website (Amazon Web Services): £0–£25 a year.
- Visitor numbers, Google Search Console, code storage and security certificates (Free plans): £0 a year.
For a company of one that comes to about £75–£130 a year. Hosting is charged by how much visitors download, so a site serving a lot of its own video or large downloads costs more; we say so before building one. The free plans are the providers' own and have stayed free for years, but they can change them.
Timeline
Liftoff is live within 5 working days, and Liftoff Plus within 10, counted from when we have all your content.
After launch
You choose a monthly plan before launch. Plans are billed a month in advance; paying a year up front costs 10 months' price. Give 30 days' notice to leave a monthly plan; a plan paid a year ahead simply isn't renewed.
- Self-managed: £0 a month. You run it yourself.
- Keep-alive: £49 a month. We keep it running.
- Care: £149 a month. We keep it running and up to date.
- Founder's tech friend: from £450 a month. A senior technologist on your side.
The Care plan includes up to about 1 hour a month of small changes; time that isn't used doesn't roll over.
We keep written documentation of how your site and accounts fit together from day one, and it is yours. If you leave a plan or hire your own team, you can take the documentation and the account logins at no charge and run things yourself. Handing over in person is optional: for £350 we transfer the accounts to your CTO or developer, walk them through it in a one-hour call and answer their questions by email for 30 days.
Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)
If you're buying as a consumer, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel within 14 days of ordering, without giving any reason. To cancel, sign in to the Innovective portal with the email address you paid with and cancel your order there, or tell us in writing. If you cancel before we've started work, you'll receive a full refund within 14 days.
If you ask us to start early
We won't start work during the 14-day cancellation period unless you expressly ask us to when you order. If you do, and the work is finished within those 14 days, you lose your right to cancel once it's finished. If you cancel after work has started, you'll be charged a fair proportion of the price for the work done up to that point, and the rest of what you paid will be refunded within 14 days. Unfinished work isn't handed over on cancellation: the charge covers the work carried out, not the partial result.
Service quality (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
We will build your site with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If anything falls short, you're entitled to ask us to put it right or, where that isn't possible, to a price reduction.
